Dosbarth Gwas y Neidr

Wednesday 18th May

Dosbarth Gwas y neidr travelled to another local school to take part in a cross-country run. The children represented the school brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

June 2022 - 13th - 15th  - Year 5/6 Residential

Year 5 and 6 have been on a two-night residential stay to Llangorse lake and activity centre. The children took part in team building activities, horse riding, abseiling, climbing, high rope walking and caving. The children were responsible for all their own meal preparation which included pizza making, BBQ and lunchbox making. The children made memories and had experiences they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Tuesday 21st June - Puppet Soup

Dosbarth Gwas y neidr were lucky enough to have puppeteers from the company Puppet Soup into school to complete a workshop on puppet making. The children had the opportunity to use the professional puppets and to create some of their very own. These workshops are in preparation for the school performance of Land of the Dragon.

  Wednesday 6th July

Our pupils became young promoters and hosted the company Puppet Soup who put on a production of Land of the Dragon. The children were responsible for organising the tickets, selling raffle tickets, tea, and coffee, assisting setting up the set and introducing the performance. The children had a set tour before the audience arrived and were able to ask the crew about their roles, responsibilities, and skills. It was a beautiful show and children were completely engrossed throughout the whole production.

 Wednesday 22nd June

Dosbarth Gwas y neidr had a brilliant time at the cricket tournament held at Builth Wells. The two teams did us proud and came 3rd and 5th place out of 9 teams.

  Welsh 2 day Enduro - 23rd June 2022

Two of our fantastic pupils had the exciting opportunity to go and set the riders of the Welsh 2 Day Enduro motobike riders off after coming 2nd and 3rd in the back cover of the programme competition. The pupils were treated like VIP's, they had breakfast with Llandrindod Mayor at the lake before watching the first competitors off at the starting line.

  Womens Football - 6th October 2022

On Thursday 6th October pupils from Llanbister travelled to Cardiff to watch Wales play against Bosnia in Cardiff city stadium. This was a new experience for many of our pupils. It was the first outing for our school flags, and we even got them signed by the manager Gemma Grainger and goalkeeper Laura o'Sullivan.
