As part of our Wonders on the World topic community member Janet visited us in school to do some cooking with the children. Following her visit to India, Janet showed us some photos of the Taj Mahal and her visit to rural school in India.
She showed us some of the traditional dress from the country and the spices and plants that they grow there, including cotton and sugar cane. The children then used some of the authentic spices from India to use in their cooking of a Gujarati curry. The children in Dosbarth Pili Pala then sewed patterns on to the class Saree.
